Foreman Job Description
 
Job Title:                  Foreman
 
Reports To:             Operations Manager, John Harmeling & Owner, Chris Wilson
           
FLSA Status:                       Hourly Employee
 
Job Summary:  A licensed plumber responsible for a crew up to 15 plumbers and/or plumber apprentices.  Run the day to day activity on a job site while communicating with customer/GC/contractor and MPS.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Follow instructions of Operation’s Manager or Owner as to daily workload and performance. 
 
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
 
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  1. Valid Journeyman’s license in the City of Cincinnati and/or Kentucky or Ohio Contractor’s license.
  2. Valid driving license and a clean driving record
  3. Ability to read plumbing drawings.
  4. Ability to prioritize specific job needs and be able to use plumbers as they best fit the situation.  
  5. Must be able to tolerate all types of weather.  
  6. Must be able to perform physical requirements of job lifting and carrying water closets, water heaters, etc. Use all types of power and hand tools.  
  7. Basic knowledge of math, simple addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and fractions.  
  8. Ability to follow instructions.
  9. Must be able to read and write so he/she can fill out paperwork: see “Paperwork Responsibilities” below  
  10. Good communication skills.
 

Foreman Paperwork Responsibilities
 
Daily

  1. Job call in by 7:30 am the following day
  2. Calling in for purchase orders
  3.  No add on or duplicates.  Any additional than previously approved needs to get a new purchase order
  4. Each PO needs to be approved by the Operations Manager
 
Weekly-Due on Tuesday at 7:30am

  1. Timecards signed by employees
  2. Receipts-credit card and fleet card
  3. Packing slips
  4. Any training paperwork for safety program 
 
Company Vehicle Responsibility
​

Must follow the following rules:
  1. Must have a valid driver’s license
  2. Must have a clean driving record
  3. Must maintain the vehicle with regular oil changes and report any/all maintenance issues to Gene Hehemann  
  4. Must obey all road signs and posted speed limits.
