Service Plumber Job Description
 
Job Title: Service Plumber
Reports To: Owner, John Von Holle or Kevin Helvey
FLSA Status: Hourly Employee
Job Summary: Individual responsible for a helper (when a helper is assigned). Run service calls to independent places of business and/or residential homes. May work on jobs that need only one plumber to complete.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Follow instructions given by operations manager or owner while meeting performance standards and completing daily work. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
 
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

1. Ability to work independently to accomplish specific tasks.
2. Ability to prioritize specific job needs and to use plumbers and/or apprentices as they best fit the situation. 
3. Dependable transportation. 
4. Must be able to tolerate all types of weather. 
5. Must be able to perform physical requirements of job, including lifting and carrying water closets, water heaters, etc. Must be able to use all types of power and hand tools. 
6. Basic knowledge of math, simple addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and fractions. 
7. Ability to follow instructions. 
8. Must be able to read and write in order to fill out paperwork, including timecards for yourself and your crew. See “Service Plumber Paperwork Responsibilities” below. 
9. Excellent communication skills.

 
Service Plumber Paperwork Responsibilities
 
Weekly-Due on Tuesday at 7:30am

1. Upload hours onto Procore. 
2. Packing slips/credit card receipts.
3. Any training paperwork for safety program.
4. All job work orders.

Call to obtain a PO for any materials needed from a supply house
 
Company Vehicle Responsibility

1. Must have a valid driver’s license.
2. Must have a clean driving record.
3. Must maintain the vehicle with regular oil changes and report any/all maintenance issues to John Von Holle.
4. Must obey all road signs and posted speed limits.
